About us
We are a team of experts in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Public Health, and Digital Engineering for Social Impact who played key roles in the development of Bluetooth-based Digital Contact Tracing from early 2020.
Successful Digital Contact Tracing apps proved that technology platforms can work closely with Public Health Agencies to provide life-saving, revolutionary approaches to public health. But design-stage challenges quickly illuminated gaps in governance and standards, under-explored debates on privacy and ethics, and interdisciplinary communication barriers which severely limited the technology’s roll-out and impact. Many of these challenges persist and - without active intervention - will see Public Health unable to fully benefit from the latest digital innovations.
Low-cost Digital Public Health solutions can
limit the spread of disease,
limit the need for less targeted, more harmful interventions, and
enable rapid, ground-breaking research.
Our mission is to harness the full potential of Digital Public Health by:
building and maintaining privacy-preserving technologies
leading the creation of partnerships and governance structures with Apple, Google and international Public Health Agencies
innovating through global disease management, surveillance and research
ensuring operational readiness for Day 1 deployment in an outbreak.
